Santa’s helpers disguised as Rotarians continue a tradition that started 40 years ago that has morphed over time to become one most anticipated events that brings generations together. This year serving more than 200 seniors and guests – Santa came to provide Christmas cheer and the children of the Novi Middle School shared stories, hugs and smiles. It is hard to tell who enjoys this event more; the kids, the seniors or the Rotarians. One thing is certain, that through the Engagement of Rotary, We Are Able to Change Lives. We make memories that will last a lifetime!

The children of the middle school 7th and 8th grade chorus sang, the orchestra played and everyone part took in carols, led by Santa. Following the concert the seniors were served lunch and presented with gift bags provided by the Novi club.

What is exciting is to see the bonds that are formed between the children and the seniors, those that might not have grandparents are adopted by the kids and visa-versa. They exchanged stories and become pen pals but, most of all smiles rule the day. The only sad part is waiting 364 days until the next luncheon.
